Do you have questions?
Here is a selection of the frequently asked questions we get about our mats. If you don't find the answer, feel free to contact us!
The mats are made of non-toxic memory foam, which is purchased according to the highest standards we can find on the market. They do not contain BPA, phthalates, lead, latex, formamide, formaldehyde, EVA foam and flame retardants. See our independent test certificates here – they show that our products meet the highest safety requirements according to the standard EN 71 of the EU's Toy Directive and are completely safe for both you and your children.
As a mother myself, it was incredibly important to me to ensure that our manufacturers have the same respect for safety standards as myself. Our products are manufactured in a responsible manner and the leftovers from the manufacturing process are even recyclable, so I am fully confident that I am working with the very best team in South Korea to create the ideal product for your home.
As all parents need to be able to clean easily, the mats are practical and easy to wipe with a cloth. Wiping with a soft cloth and a neutral detergent (such as washing-up liquid or hand soap) should easily remove most stains. If a stain remains that you cannot remove, do not use harsh chemicals as this can damage the mat. Instead, try mixing baking soda with a little bit of water and leave the mixture on the stubborn stain for a few hours before wiping it off. Although most stains can be removed from the mat, be aware that stains from nail polish and gel pens have been shown to stick too well and can therefore leave permanent stains on the mats. Similarly, food colors (both natural and artificial) can be very difficult to remove from the surface, so it is best to keep them off the mat.
If you want to know if your "gentle" cleaner is safe to use on the mat, ask yourself the question: Would I use it on my skin or to clean my baby's high chair? There are a few exceptions to this rule, e.g. cleaning agents with natural acids (including cleaning sprays from Method), as they can sometimes be enhanced with additives such as citric acid, hypochlorous acid, alcohol or emulsifiers that can cause the mat to lose color or crack. If in doubt, email me or try on a small area in a corner before cleaning the rest of your beautiful mat.
Avoid vacuuming your play mat. Unfortunately, heavy wheels and brushes in vacuum cleaners can create friction marks across the surface and leave permanent damage which is not covered by our warranty, so also be careful when vacuuming around the edges. Instead, use a soft brush to sweep dirt off the play mat.
We use reliable shipping companies, so we are sure that your package will be treated with the care it deserves. Depending on what time you order, we endeavor to dispatch the order on the same working day (or the next day). We will send you all the information you need to follow your mat on its journey from us to you. If unexpected problems arise, you can always contact us by email using the link in your order summary. Then we will do our best to investigate the problem.
If your mat is damaged when you receive it, it is important that you discover it when you receive the product and make the shipping company aware of the problem. We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase, so we offer all customers a full right of return within the first 14 days of receiving the product. The returned product must be unused and in its original packaging. You can find more information in our return policy.

The mat may tend to roll up when you unpack it due to the memory foam. It doesn't matter - it's just because the memory foam remembers how it was packed. The mat can be easily straightened again by rolling it up again from the curled edge with the opposite side out and then leaving it overnight. When you roll it out again, it should be completely flat. Similarly, you can correct an edge that tends to roll up by bending it in the other direction and pressing it flat against the floor so that the memory foam learns to lie flat again.
Heavy objects such as climbing triangles, but also knees and elbows can make temporary pressure marks in the memory foam when you play. They mean nothing and should disappear within a day. I do not recommend placing heavy objects such as furniture on the play mat permanently, as this can cause permanent pressure marks on the mat.
We hope that your mat is in perfect condition when you receive it, but if for any reason it is not, please contact us so we can help resolve the issue.
The mats are available in three sizes – the largest is 210 cm x 140 cm and is like a large carpet for your living room. We would like to be able to offer a version in a slightly smaller size as well, so we have also made one in the size 185 cm x 125 cm. They are also available in a round format which is 138 cm in diameter. All designs are of course available in all sizes.
As the mats are made of memory foam, they have a high weight (the large one weighs a good 10 kg and the small one 7 kg), which means that they lie firmly on the floor without slipping on any type of floor covering. They can be laid on carpets, tiled floors, wooden floors and even on floors with underfloor heating (although we recommend that you follow the floor covering guidelines in the operating instructions for the underfloor heating system). The mats have a TOG value of approx. 3.5, so they themselves contribute to preventing the children from getting cold when they play on the floor in the cold months.
Each play mat has a unique identification code printed in one of the corners. We have made it as small as possible, but it is a requirement according to European standards to ensure that each mat can be traced back to its manufacturer and to protect your rights as a consumer.
All products tested according to the European standard EN71 of the Toy Directive must be marked on the product itself or, if this is not possible, on the packaging. Due to the strict guidelines for displaying the CE mark in the correct font, size and spacing, it is not possible to print it directly onto the mat without significant ink stains and damage. You can therefore find the CE mark clearly placed on the packaging instead.
The mats are made of memory foam, so they are soft to the touch, which often means your dog or cat will be able to enjoy it too, and generally it's just fine. Our large (28 kg) dog likes to play with us on the mat. However, please be aware that if your dog or cat scratches or chews on the mat, it will cause damage, and therefore we do not cover damage from pets under our warranty.
As with most things for your baby, it's best if it doesn't become the pet's new favorite chew toy, but it doesn't matter if you play with it together!
